Weikky outdoor wood game - by Weizenkorn Stiftung

Just as enjoyable with children as it is with a group of friends, Weikky is inspired by the traditional Finnish throwing game. Simple rules combined with a little strategy make every round competitive, social and easy for everyone to join.

Crafted from solid, untreated FSC-certified beech wood by Weizenkorn Stiftung in Switzerland, the game is designed to be played on grass, gravel or sand. Easy to take to a picnic, the park or a weekend away, it naturally brings people together outdoors with very little preparation.

We selected Weikky because it makes spending time outdoors simple. Whether it's a picnic, an afternoon in the park or a weekend away, all it takes is a little open space to create moments of laughter, conversation and friendly competition.

Produced by Weizenkorn Stiftung, a Swiss social enterprise, Weikky combines quality craftsmanship with social impact. The foundation creates meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities while producing high-quality wooden objects in Switzerland.

How to play
Arrange the twelve numbered skittles in a tight formation. Players take turns throwing the wooden baton to knock them over.

  • If one skittle falls, you score the number printed on it.
  • If several skittles fall, you score the number of skittles knocked down.
  • Any fallen skittles are placed back upright where they land before the next turn.
  • The first player to reach exactly 50 points wins. If you go over 50, your score returns to 25.

Simple rules make the game easy to learn, while the changing position of the skittles adds strategy to every throw.
