Stiftung BSZ

The BSZ Foundation supports people with support needs in the areas of work, education, and housing, with the aim of enabling meaningful participation in social and professional life. Based in the canton of Schwyz, the foundation operates across several locations and brings together a wide range of workshops where professional production and social responsibility go hand in hand.

At BSZ, work is understood as a central part of daily life. Regardless of individual limitations, participation in work processes is made possible through adapted structures, pedagogical support, and patient guidance. Skills are developed step by step, with attention given to rhythm, repetition, and confidence. Seeing a finished product, knowing that one has contributed to something tangible and useful, plays an important role in fostering pride, autonomy, and a sense of belonging.

The foundation is run according to sound economic principles, combining structured production with long-term social commitment. Products and services developed in the workshops help finance the organisation, alongside public contributions and private support, allowing BSZ to invest in durable projects and continuous improvement. Mutual respect, appreciation, and trust shape everyday collaboration and define the working environment.

For Maison Myrthus, the baby muslin was developed in close collaboration with the BSZ Foundation. The team was involved not only in the sewing, but also throughout the development process, contributing practical experience, care, and attention to detail at every stage. We also selected a wooden rattle produced in the workshops, deliberately left untreated and unvarnished so the natural material remains visible and honest.

These objects are made to accompany early moments of life. Beyond their function, they carry the trace of time, learning, and work done with patience and dedication.
